About

I am currently a Studio Art major at Baldwin Wallace University, with a minor in Graphic Design, and a focus in Jewelry and 3D studies. I began to be interested in art at a young age. My grandmother would keep me occupied by rolling out a long piece of paper on the floor and a pack of markers. From there, I progressed to mastering making jewelry with fiber, from simple friendship bracelets out of cotton, to complex macramé necklaces out of hemp. I learned to knit and crochet at the age of eight, and to sew soon after.

Although I love working with a variety of mediums, when it was time to choose a career path, it only made sense to go back to my roots with jewelry. I had been learning techniques in jewelry my whole life. I have a passion for how jewelry and accessories can make the wearer feel and look. Many of pieces incorporate fiber and/or broken pieces of my great-grandmother's jewelry collection. My hope is that the personal bonds I build with my pieces are felt and formed with their eventual owners.
